Selank

Selank is a relatively new peptide drug which was developed in the Russian Academy of Sciences. It has already completed all the stages of trials and now is publicly available in the drugstores of Russia and Ukraine. It’s not a prohibited compound, so you can freely buy Selank in these countries or via internet. This peptide originates from endogenous peptide Tuftsin, which takes part in regulation of immune system.

By binding to particular receptors on the surface of nerve cells, it produces unique effect on the brain. By pharmaceutical action Selank belongs to nootropic (cognitive enhancer) and anxiolytic (antianxiety) medications. Unlike other preparations of this group it has no negative side-effects on cognitive function, and doesn’t produce addiction or withdrawal syndrome.

Selank peptide influences the metabolism of monoamines in different parts of the brain, and also has effect on tyrosine/tryptophan metabolism. It sets serotonin to normal level and equalizes excitation and inhibition of neurons, thus increasing their resistance to extreme loads especially during stressful situations.

Though being anxiolytic, Selank peptide has no sleep-inducing and muscle-relaxing properties. On the contrary, its pharmacological action is rather stimulating. Usage

Inject 2-3 drops into each nostril, which corresponds to 300 μg - 450 μg. In order to increase the dose, repeat administration of the drug in a quarter of an hour. The single dosage corresponds to 4 to 12 drops, and daily dose - 12 to 36 drops should be divided into 3 intakes. Usually the course lasts for ten – fourteen days. You can repeat the course after 1-3 weeks.

Overdose and side-effects

Overdose is impossible due to fast degradation by peptidases. There can be allergic reaction due to personal intolerance. The drug may cause unpleasant sensation when it gets to mucous of the pharynx. The drug doesn’t interact with sedative or stimulating compounds.
